Liza Chelule, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) outline the factors that contribute to the rising cases of human-wildlife conflict especially for communities that border wildlife conservation areas across the country? (ii) explain the general measures that the Ministry has taken to resolve or suppress these factors and further outline steps taken to ensure that persons living near wildlife conservation areas across the country are able to exercise their right to freedom of movement without interfering with the wildlife in the areas? (iii) highlight the specific compensation framework that the Ministry has adopted to mitigate the loss or conservation areas including destruction of crops caused by wildlife and further state whether this framework has been satisfactory?
