1793 THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2023 A Bill for AN ACT of Parliament to amend the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act and for connected purposes ENACTED by the Parliament of Kenya, as follows— 1. This Act may be cited as the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Amendment) Act, 2023. 2. Section 42 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act is amended in subsection (3) by inserting the following new paragraphs immediately after paragraph (b)— (ba) the prohibition of the introduction, growth or maintenance of trees of the eucalyptus species in and along any river, lake, sea or wetland; (bb) the prohibition of the introduction, growth or maintenance of any invasive species or other potentially dangerous species; Short title. Amendment of section 42 of Cap.387.
