THAT, taking into consideration the findings of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security in its Report on the Approval Hearing of a Nominee for Appointment as Chairperson of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority, laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, and pursuant to the provisions of Article 250(2)(b) of the Constitution and sections 3 and 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, Cap. 7F, this House approves the appointment of Dr. Duncan Oburu Ojwang, as the Chairperson of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority.
