Question
The Member for Malindi (Hon. Amina Mnyazi, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Health: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) provide a report on the measures being undertaken by the Government to address the impact of the recent withdrawal of USAID funding in Kenya, which previously supported critical health sectors such as HIV/AIDs treatment, Malaria prevention and Maternal Healthcare? (ii) clarify the current status of essential drug supplies for the critical sectors supported by USAID, including whether there are sufficient stocks available, and indicate how long these supplies are expected to last given the current national demand? (iii) specify the immediate and long-term action plan by the Government to mitigate the negative effects arising from USAID funding withdrawal, including ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services for affected populations?
