The Member for Samburu North (Hon. Eli Letipila, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) provide a report of the status of investigations into the death of Hon. Paul Leshimpiro the MCA for Angata-Nanyekie Ward in Samburu North Constituency including the death of Mzee Lepartapa on 24th February 2024? (ii) confirm that there has been the death of over 72 people within the past 8 months including the loss of over 1100 herds of cattle and shoats within Malaso Division of Samburu Central Sub-County? (iii) state the measures by the Ministry to protect the lives and properties of Kenyans who live in Soit Pus, Angata-Nanyekie, Nkorikam Morijo, Lorian, and Marti areas of Samburu North Constituency including motorists using the busy Maralal-Baragoi Road from attacks by marauding criminals? (iv) elucidate steps taken by the Ministry to prevent the forceful eviction of residents within the said areas as a result of the systemic attrition through assasinations and targeted killings?
