The Member for Matungu (Hon. Peter Nabulindo, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain why there is a surge in cases of livestock theft in Western Region, particularly in Matungu Constituency and neigboring sub-counties including Mumias West, Butula, Bumula, Nambale and Ugenya? (ii) state the action taken by the security agencies in the affected regions to apprehend individuals suspected of involvement in livestock theft and to effectively mitigate the situation? (iii) state the measures the Government is pursuing to contain the proliferation of livestock theft in the country and to effectively mitigate the situation?
