The Member for Machakos County (Hon. Joyce Kamene, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain the measures the Ministry is undertaking to promote sustainable employment of the employable workforce in light of the KNBS Report which shows that two-thirds of the youth have stopped looking for employment-related work citing tough economic conditions of possible employers? (ii) provide measures the Ministry is pursuing to promote private sector investments in the country amidst the depreciation of the Kenya Shilling against the US Dollar? (iii) elaborate on measures being taken to reduce the period retirees have to wait before they start receiving their pensions, and further highlight the efforts being taken to make the process less cumbersome and frustrations-free?
