Joyce Kamene, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection:- Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) outline the steps that the Ministry is taking to give full effect to the National Social Protection Policy and the National Policy on Orphans and Vulnerable Children in order to fill the lacuna created by the repeal of the Social Assistance Act, 2013? (ii) explain what measures the Ministry has taken to ensure provision of social protection to orphans, widows and widowers and create awareness to the targeted groups on how they can benefit from the existing social protection policies?
