Domonic Letipila, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) State the steps being taken, and timelines within which the Government will connect household in Samburu North Constituency to the National Electricity Grid? (ii) Explain the measures that the Ministry has put in place and the timelines within which the electricity supply to Baragoi Town will be stabilized, considering the Power Generator installed to serve the area is currently dysfunctional, thereby crippled economic development of the town? (iii) Provide reasons for slow progress and a detailed status update of the rural electrification programmes for Samburu North Constituency in particular Morijo- Marti and Maralal-Opiroi-Barsaloi lines that have been in the implementation stage for over the past two years with little progress being realized?
