The Member for Lagdera (Hon. Abdikadir Hussein, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport:- Could the Cabinet Secretary — (i) Explain why Nuno-Modogashe road, the major gateway to Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera Counties has not been repaired following the recent heavy rains that swept away Ohio bridge of Modogasge and Jilanqo bridge paralyzing transport and communication in the region? (ii) Clarify whether the quality of workmanship that had been done on the recently completed sections of the road met the set construction standards and specifications taking into account the extent of damage on the road? (iii) Outline immediate steps that the Ministry is undertaking to expedite repairs and construction works to restore the road to usable state?
