The Member for Rongai (Hon. Paul Chebor, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) outline any Community Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) has undertaken in Rongai Constituency in the last fifteen (15) years considering that twenty-four (24) key geothermal wells are under exploration within the Constituency? (ii) indicate steps that the ministry has taken to address complaints of unemployment by the Geothermal Development Company and what action is the Ministry taking to ensure that locals are considered in the ever-elusive job opportunities in GDC? (iii) indicate the efforts that the Ministry has undertaken to address the environmental complaints raised by the communities residing in the Constituency?
