The Member for Kisumu County (Hon. Ruth Busia Odinga, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport:- Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) Jomo Kenyatta Highway in Kisumu City is yet to be fitted with footbridges and barriers despite the road passing right through the City Center, the busy Kibuye Market and a stretch of schools including Kisumu Boys, Kisumu Girls, Lake Primary, MM-Shah, Aria Primary, Agakhan Nursery, and Highway Primary, thereby endangering the lives of school-going children and traders? (ii) despite being declared complete, the Kisumu-Busia Road has a clearly incomplete ditch in the middle of the road immediately after Tiengre Market Center? (iii) construction of Kisumu–Vihiga Road is abandoned at the Mamboleo Junction-Kondele stretch with an incomplete overpass, and additionally state the reasons behind delays in completion of the Mamboleo Junction-Miwani-Chemelil-Kapsitet Junction Road?
