Brightone Yegon, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Services: - (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain circumstances that led to the retrenchment of 20,000 Tea puckers in Konoin Constituency? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary state measure(s) the ministry is putting in place to mitigate the consequences that arises from mechanization that affected the small and medium sized wages and the overall effect to the economy? (iii) Further, what measures is the Ministry taking on the mechanized tea handlers who face serious health risks due to excessive continuous exposure to monoxide fumes from the machines they use in plucking?
