Fatuma Jehow, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum - (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the causes of the frequent power blackouts and outages in Wajir County detailing strategies that the Ministry has put in place to curb the said incidents? (ii) Could the provide the measures that the Ministry has put in place to ensure prompt deployment of Kenya Power and Lighting Company technicians to address incidents of power blackouts and outages in Wajir County to minimize its negative effects on health facilities and businesses in the area? (iii) Could the Cabinet Secretary outline the measures put in place by the Ministry to either fast-track connection of Wajir County to the National grid or enhance the capacity of the off grid plant?
