<p>Supported the Affordable Housing Bill underpinned by the housing deficit of 2 million units as reported by the Kenya Property Developers Association (KPDA). Sought a statement from the Standing Committee on Health regarding the state of healthcare services at the Garissa County Referral Hospital. Sought a statement from the Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations regarding the state of operations in the office of the County Chief Officers in Garissa County.Rose pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the management of the ongoing countrywide floods and disaster measures and particularly, in Garissa and Tana River Counties. Supported The Division Of Revenue Bill. Commented on the welfare of army men and women in Somalia and questioned The CS of Security whether have they had undertaken social development programmes in the areas they had served within the military-civil engagement that would help them to win the minds and hearts of the community in Somalia. Questioned the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Public Works on his awareness of the challenges in terms of poor roads in the North Eastern region as result of the heavy rainfall. Questioned the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum on the issue of transformers and whether there were local manufacturers whom they could purchase from and if not, what incentives were being put forward to encourage local manufacturing of parts. Supported the motion on the Status of Pending Bills in Counties acknowledging the adverse effects of the accumulated pending bills such as the closure of businesses and mental stress to some of the individuals who have done business with county governments. Moved a motion for the Environmental Act (Amendment) and spoke to its suitability for arid and semi arid areas in the country.</p>
