Hon. Ronald Kamwiko Karauri is serving his first term as the Member of the National Assembly, having been elected in August 2022 as an independent representative for Kasarani Constituency, Nairobi, making history as the first independent MP from Nairobi. Before his political career, he was a Kenya Airways pilot (co-pilot 2003–2008; captain 2009–2014) and later served as CEO of SportPesa from 2016 to 2022. In Parliament, he has not been appointed to any committees to date. Outside the House, he founded the Captain Ronald Karauri Foundation, which in July 2023 launched classroom construction at Gituamba Primary School in Ruai, as part of his focus on education and community service.
