Hon. Peter Irungu Kihungi is serving his first term as a Member of the National Assembly, having been elected in August 2022 on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket to represent Kangema Constituency in Murang’a County. Before his election to Parliament, he served as a Councillor from 2007 to 2013 and was also the Leader of the Majority in the Murang’a County Assembly. Between 2019 and 2022, he held the position of Director at the Athi Water Works Development Agency. Since assuming office in the 13th Parliament, he has not been appointed to any House committees.
