Hon. Marianne Jebet Kitany is serving her first term as a Member of the National Assembly, having been elected in August 2022 to represent Aldai Constituency in Nandi County. She has not been appointed to any parliamentary House committees to date. She has, however, sponsored the Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which proposes metered billing for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) through traceable meter numbers, consumption-based billing, and customer verification. She also sponsored a motion on artificial intelligence (AI) regulation, calling for the development of a legal and ethical framework to address disinformation, privacy breaches, and algorithmic bias.
