Hon. Farah Maalim Mohamed is currently serving his first term as the Member of Parliament for Dadaab Constituency, having been elected in August 2022 under the Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya (WDM-K) banner.
Though he has a track record of legislative leadership—having previously served as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (2008–2013) and been a member of committees covering Constitutional Review, Justice & Legal Affairs, Regional Development, Energy, and Standing Orders in past Parliaments—he does not belong to any House Committee in the current 13th Parliament.
Since returning to Parliament, he has not sponsored any private Member’s Bills, but he has remained active in parliamentary debate, notably raising concerns over corruption in the Divisions of Revenue Bill 2025, and leading motions for greater oversight of devolved funds such as the Equalization Fund.
