Hon. Godfrey Osotsi is a two-term Parliamentarian who first joined the National Assembly in 2017 as a Nominated Member, serving until 2022. He was later elected Senator for Vihiga County in 2022. During the 2017–2022 Parliament, Osotsi served as a member of the Departmental Committee on Administration & National Security. In October 2022, he was elected Chair of the Senate County Public Investments & Special Funds Committee. He also serves as a member of the Senate Committees on Trade, Industrialisation & Tourism, and the Liaison Committee. He has sponsored the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No. 37 of 2023) and the County Wards (Equitable Development) Bill (Senate Bills No. 20 of 2024).
