Sen. Edwin Watenya Sifuna is serving his first term as the Senator for Nairobi County, having been elected on September 8, 2022. In February 2023, he was appointed Deputy Minority Whip. In the Senate, he serves as a member of the Committee on Energy, the Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations, and the County Public Accounts Committee. He has sponsored the Office of the County Printer Bill (Senate Bills No. 10 of 2022), the Energy (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No. 42 of 2023), and the Sports (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No. 33 of 2024).
