Hon. Wanjiku Muhia is the current Member of Parliament for Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County, elected in August 2022 on a UDA ticket after defeating former Majority Leader Amos Kimunya . A prominent figure in Kenyan politics, she previously served as Nyandarua’s first-ever women representative (2013–2017) and as an EALA MP (2018–2022) Her academic journey spans a Diploma in HR (UoN), a BBA (Kenya Methodist University), an MBA from the University of Sunderland, UK, and a leadership certificate from Harvard Kennedy School Before politics, she built a solid career in HR and customer service at Florensis BV and Equity Bank . In Parliament, she chairs the Regional Integration Committee, drives inclusive legislation—most notably the amendment requiring sign-language interpretation on TV—and supports education by implementing day-school fee waivers and bursaries funded by NG-CDF. She is also the force behind the Wanjiku Muhia Foundation and the Nyandarua Cancer Centre. Known for her empowerment-first leadership, she continues to champion social inclusion, health, education, infrastructure, and opportunities for all, especially vulnerable groups .
